Name the video room
The room needs a name before it can have an address.
A room you sit down in and do not leave — mostly YouTube embeds, some personal, some bands, some tutorials worth passing on. Scrolling your TV, except someone picked the shows.
The name decides the route, and a route is permanent once anything links to it, so this gets settled first.
Candidates
- My MTV — the right vintage, and the reason it works is the reason it is a problem: MTV is a live Paramount trademark. A page title borrowing a network's name is fine until it is not.
- Heavy Rotation — what the industry called the thing a channel played into the ground. Period-correct, describes the room, and is a phrase rather than a mark.
- Home Theater — plain, and honest about the format: somewhere you sit.
- Theater — the shortest version. Reads as a room rather than a channel.
What the name has to carry
The room is the opposite of the jukebox by design. Video holds you in place; music follows you around. The name should sound like somewhere you go, not something you operate.
